We continue adhering to state and local policies with respect to social distancing, cleaning, and personal protection, while stepping up precautionary measures on behalf of our team. We appreciate our guests’ support!


Inn at Cook Street Policies

We recommend before making a reservation request that you thoroughly read all of our policies which are explained in great detail on this page. It is important for you to understand our Cancellation, Minimum Stay, Deposit and Payment terms before making your reservation. CANCELLATION POLICY

We realize that your vacation time is very precious to you and our main desire is to make you feel right at home during your stay. Unfortunately, unexpected changes do occur. Therefore, we urge you to keep the “Worry-Free Bookings” option upon checkout or elect for trip insurance to cover unforeseen travel cancellations.

As a small business operating within a very brief tourist season, we do not have the same flexibility as national chains. The Inn at Cook Street cannot provide refunds due to medical or family emergencies, bad weather, missed or cancelled flights or ferry reservations, change of plans, etc. so we highly recommend the following option:

  • “Worry-Free Bookings” is the default option when booking directly through our reservation system, which upgrades your reservation to a refundable booking at a cost of 10% of the booking value. The enhanced refund terms cover a wide set of unforeseen circumstances that occur within 14-days of the reservation, and the refunds are administered through our partner, ResNexus. If you, the traveler, cannot attend their booking because of a circumstance listed withing the Worry-Free Terms, you can apply for a 100% refund any time up to the (first) date of the activity, or for up to 60 days afterwards, direction through ResNexus.

  • The “Worry-Free Bookings” option requires 100% (refundable) prepayment for your reservation. If you opt out of “Worry-Free Bookings” upon checkout, you will be subject to the standard deposit and payment terms, for which 50% of the total stay is due upon booking. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, with the one exception described in the next section.

  • To decline the “Worry-Free Bookings,” you may opt out upon checkout. If you elect to remove the “Worry-Free Booking” option, we advise purchasing trip insurance to cover potential losses due to cancelled travel plans. This can be found from any agent or online at www.insuremytrip.com.

Deposit and Payment Terms

One-Night Stays

One-night stays are charged the full amount (plus the 14.45% lodging taxes) upon booking. One-night stays are non-refundable under any circumstance.

2+ Night Stays

Any cancellations prior to your stay (regardless of reason for cancellation) will result in complete forfeiture of your deposit, with this exception:

  • If you cancel your reservation at least 21 days prior to your arrival and we are able to fully re-let your room for the entire booking, your deposit will be refunded minus a 15% processing fee. If we are unable to fully re-let your room, the deposit is forfeited as the agreed upon late cancellation fee.

Payment

Visa, Master Card, and American Express are all accepted. All deposits and payments are due in U.S. funds only.  

Minimum Stays

Minimum stays of 2 nights are usually required for all advanced bookings. Weekends during High Season, Holidays, Theme Weeks, and Special Events (Friday and/or Saturday Nights) require at least a 3-night minimum stay.

Arrival and Departures

Check-IN time is from 2:00pm-6:00pm each day. For arrivals after 6pm, please contact us, and we will provide you with instructions for self check-in.
Check-OUT time for guests (including their cars) is 11:00am.

Fireplaces

The fireplaces are not available for use in the rooms from June 15th through September 15th.

Cleaning

Additional cleaning required beyond normal housekeeping will be billed at a minimum charge of $50.00 plus any additional services needed.

Damages

All rooms will be inspected prior to the arrival of guests and during their stay. It is the guest’s responsibility to bring any major damage issues to the attention of the Inn staff at the time of their arrival into the room. The Inn staff upon the departure of the guest will inspect rooms. The Inn at Cook Street has the right to bill guests for any repairs and/or replacement that are needed that would be considered “beyond normal wear and tear.” Beyond “normal wear and tear” shall be determined by the management of the Inn at Cook Street. If the need for damage billing arises, The Inn at Cook Street will bill damages to the guest credit card information that is placed on file at the Inn upon check in.

Non-Smoking Policy

The Inn at Cook Street has a strict NON-SMOKING policy within all of our buildings. A $200 fee will be charged to all rooms for additional cleaning if the manager determines guests were smoking in the room. Additionally, candles and other sources of open flames are NOT permitted in the guestrooms. Any guest violating the non-smoking or open flame policy will be billed an additional $200 for cleanup costs of room.

Age Requirements

Regrettably, the Inn at Cook Street is not an environment suitable for guests under the age of 16.

Pets

Though we do appreciate you not wanting to leave your loved ones behind, The Inn at Cook Street cannot accommodate pets.

BICYCLES

Bicycle racks are available on premises in garden area. Bikes are not permitted in guestrooms or in any building structure.

Quiet Time

Quiet time is from 11:00pm until 8:00am for the peaceful enjoyment of our guests.

Parking

Limited parking is available to guests (one small or mid-sized car per room is permitted). Contact us if you expect you will need a parking spot. Vehicle owners are responsible for any damages done by their vehicle on the premises.
